Infant Feeding Therapy with Milk Stories
Infant feeding therapy is a distinct clinical specialty for babies who struggle to feed comfortably and efficiently, whether at the breast, the bottle, or as they start and progress through solids. We work exclusively with infants in the first year, when the underlying skills (oral motor coordination, suck-swallow-breathe rhythm, body regulation) are still forming and most responsive to skilled support.
As dual credentialed IBCLC and OT providers, we bring a full-body, hands-on, functional approach to feeding. We look past the symptom (latch pain, reflux, refusal, slow weight gain) to the underlying cause, whether that's body tension, oral motor patterns, sensory dysregulation, or how the feeding setup is working. Once we figure out the why, we build a plan with you to make progress toward better function and a more positive experience.
Feeding is something you and your baby do together, so we treat it that way. You're the collaborator who knows your baby best; we're the clinicians who can see what's getting in the way. Every plan is built around what's doable for your family, with techniques you'll keep using long after we wrap up.
